PGCL (Poliglecaprone 25) is a synthetic monofilament absorbable suture used primarily for soft-tissue approximation, subcutaneous dermal closures in plastic surgery, and general, gynecological, or urological ligations. Known for high flexibility and strength, it is used in products like Monocryl®, Petcryl Mono®, and Monoglyde®. It is also studied for use in tissue engineering, drug-eluting, and biodegradable scaffolds.
